Tithing PolicyDownload 2008 Tithing Report O ur Lady of Grace Church has been a tithing parish since 1988. As a tithing parish, we take 4% of our regular Sunday collections and distribute to those in need both at home and around the world. In so doing, we are sharing some of our blessings with those less fortunate. If you know of an organization that reaches out to those in need who could use some financial assistance, we invite you to fill out a Tithing Suggestion Sharing Request Form and submit it to the parish or e-mail it to mwitka@ologn.org. You may also e-mail your request to any of the tithing committee members whose e-mail addresses are listed on OLG website (www.ologn.org). The form is available in the gathering space on the bulletin board, through the parish office or on OLG website. Some of the organizations that have benefited from tithing awards in the past and continue to benefit include St. Vincent de Paul Center, Noblesville; St. Paul Church, McKee, Kentucky; Birthright of Cicero; Third Phase, Inc., Noblesville; Habitat For Humanity, Hamilton County; St. Rita’s Parish, Indianapolis, Blessed John XXIII Retreat Center; Ecuador Mission Fund; Auxier Lifetime Learning Center in Kentucky; our parish Haitian Outreach, just to name a few. Since the year 2000, over fifty different recipients have been awarded financial tithing assistance. If you are interested in volunteering to serve on the tithing committee, you may express that interest by e-mailing the above address at the parish or any of the tithing committee members listed on the OLG website. The tithing committee is always looking for parishioners who are interested and willing to serve. The committee meets four times annually to decide on the distribution of the parish tithing funds. The meetings are held the third Tuesday following the end of each quarter, which would be in January, April, July, and October. We hope to hear from you. Tithing PolicyAs a tithing parish, we elect to give 4% of our regular Sunday collections to causes requested by our parishioners. We will disburse this money on a weekly basis. Any member of the parish may submit a tithing request. A tithing request form is available on the bulletin board or through the parish office. The form may be put in the tithing mail file in the workroom or dropped off to the parish office. In addition, the request form is available on the OLG website and may be sent to any of the tithing committee members’ email addresses listed on the website. We will adhere to the following guidelines:
