First-grader's Brownie Troop #1961

If any first-grade girl is interested in joining for the 2007-2008 school year, to please contact Jennifer Hofmann at jshofmann@mac.com. Each month a meeting will be held in an OLG classroom after school and a field trip will be taken off school grounds. The dates are to be announced.

Some things of interest that are being planned this year are: a trip to the Humane Society, a Halloween party and possible Haunted Hayride at Conner Prairie, Christmas Caroling in a nursing home, tour of Marsh grocery store, collecting toys for the residents of the Arcadia House and delivering them; and cleaning up the church and school grounds for Earth Day.

Brownie Troop Meetings:

Wednesday, April 16 (clean-up OLG for Earth Day) Please meet at the OLG main
school playground. We are planning to work on the playground, Rosary Walk,
and area by where we planted the bulbs. Please bring a tool to help dig
weeds. Trash bags will be provided for the weeds and other litter.
Tuesday, April 29 (field trip to the post office)

Tuesday, May 6 (classroom meeting; we will earn our last Try-it of the
school year)

Tuesday, May 20 (Year-end party at Bounce Planet on Pleasant St. Come after
school and bounce until 4:30. Brownies are free. Siblings are invited and
will be charged $2 per sib. No tokens or food will be provided. FYI: Chick
Fil 'A has buy one, get one free kid's meals today for dinner, if you eat in
the restaurant).

On the 2nd Saturday of every month, Lowe's has a free kid's clinic. The kids do a craft and receive a certificate and a patch. This patch is a fun patch and may be worn on the back of your Scout uniform. It can be placed anywhere, as long as it is on the back.
