A Marian Pilgrimage to Spain & Portugal
- Join Our Lady of Grace for an international journey of faith.
  In June 2026, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church will be traveling to Spain and Portugal for a parish pilgrimage. A pilgrimage is a transformational, spiritual journey to a place that God has uniquely occupied in space and time. For pilgrims from Our Lady of Grace, we will travel across Spain and into Portugal to encounter shrines of Mary, the Blessed Mother of God, and the home of many great Catholic Saints. We invite you to enter into this journey of faith, discovery, and communion with others from our parish in order to know and share God's presence in the world more fully.

- When is the pilgrimage?
  We will depart the United States on June 17, 2026 and return on June 26, 2026, as a part of our 10-day pilgrimage.
- What is the itinerary?
  We will be traveling west from Barcelona, Spain, to Lisbon, Portugal, over the course of 10 days of travel.

- Who is leading the pilgrimage?
  Our Lady of Grace is working with Verso Ministries to lead this pilgrimage. We have partnered with Verso on numerous previous experiences, and they offer so much to our pilgrims. Verso leads a distinctly Catholic pilgrimage that includes spiritual formation before and after travel. They are organized, highly professional, and deeply attentive to every pilgrim.
  Several members of the Our Lady of Grace staff will lead (and participate) on this pilgrimage. Jake Teitgen, Julia Eckrich, and Evelyn Burton are primary pilgrimage leads.
- How much does it cost?
  The cost of the pilgrimage is $4499 per person, excluding airfare. Here are some more details to consider regarding cost:
  There will be a group flight option (to be shared when flight pricing is available closer to the date of the trip). Pilgrims can also choose to book their own flights to arrive in Barcelona and depart Lisbon.
  The cost above is for 2 people to a room. If you would prefer a single room, there is a $938 supplemental cost.
  The cost above includes all tours, guides, accommodations, activity tickets, private transportation, several meals, and gratuities. It does not include airfare, luggage fees, some meals, personal shopping, or travel insurance. For a complete list of what is included in the package, please visit the Verso registration page.
  The payment schedule for the pilgrimage will be as follows:
  $400 Deposit - Due upon Registration
  $2000 Payment - Due by October 1, 2025
  Full Payment - Due by February 1, 2026

  Payment Information
  We recognize that, for many of our parishioners, a pilgrimage of this cost can be a significant financial sacrifice. We believe this spiritual journey is worth the investment for you and for our parish. In order to save costs for our pilgrims, Our Lady of Grace has offered to take on some of the administrative responsibilities for this pilgrimage - including collecting payments. Here are some details you should know when you pay for the pilgrimage.
  Payments can be made online or in-person with cash/check. For online payments, you can use a credit card or e-check below.
  For those who are willing to pay with in-person cash or check payments, we are offering a $125 discount per person as we will not have to off-set online transaction fees. Select the Pay Later option in the form below to take advantage of this discount. These payments can be delivered to the Church Office or a pilgrimage staff leader.
  Registration will not be finalized until the registration form and payment have been completed.
  A $400 deposit per person is due upon registration. This deposit is nonrefundable.
  A $2000 payment (per person, in addition to the deposit) is due by October 1, 2025.
  Final, complete payment is due by February 1, 2026.
  If you would like to set up a payment plan for your pilgrimage, please contact Jake Teitgen ([email protected]) to arrange for a more feasible plan.
  If you have to cancel your participation in the pilgrimage, you may be able to recoup your payments (excluding the nonrefundable deposit) if:
  You have alerted us prior to dates in which our pilgrimage travel agency has set individualized travel logistics. (There may be an option to cancel after that date, but it will come with some fees.)
  We are able to replace you with other pilgrims (you may be asked to assist with this).
  We will be offering travel insurance from a third party vendor that you can purchase as a safeguard for your investment.
